What is public

Your connections

Your connections are other people's personal data. We show them only to you, in your browser. They are never published and never sent to our server. If you tick "Include my connections", they are minted only as records locked with your own keys, which only you can open. They can't be made public on bJobsX.

Minted records

When you mint, your wallet encrypts each record with your own keys before it is written to the Bitcoin SV blockchain. Anyone can see that a record exists, its size and when it was written; only your wallet can open it. A blockchain record can't be deleted. If you choose "Make public", that one record is written in clear, signed by you, and can't be taken back.

Sign-in

You sign in by connecting bWalletX. We set one cookie to keep you signed in. It holds your wallet's public identity key and expires after 7 days or when you sign out. We look up your $name from the bWalletX paymail service. We never see your keys or your 12 words.

Payments

Minting costs 1p per record plus a small network fee. It is paid from your wallet, which shows the amount before you approve. We don't hold your money.

Others we use

Vercel hosts the site. Our server (push.bwalletx.com) stores published profiles and usernames. WhatsOnChain and GorillaPool are asked whether a transaction is on the network. WhatsOnChain and frankfurter.app give us exchange rates. Fonts load from Google Fonts and scripts from unpkg and cdnjs.

Your rights

You can see, change or take down your public profile at any time from your profile page. To ask about your data, or to have your username and published profile deleted from our server, ask b in bWalletX. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
